Why one a day works
Reading a single hadith each morning is small enough to keep up, and it gives you one thing to act on that day. Over a year, that is 365 lessons from the Prophet ﷺ.
Always check the source
Social media is full of "hadith" with no source, or with a source that does not say what the post claims. A trustworthy hadith has:
- A named collection, for example Sahih al-Bukhari or Sahih Muslim
- A hadith number you can look up
- A grading (sahih, hasan, da'if) where relevant
Daily hadith in HayatTime
HayatTime shows a daily Ayah and an authentic hadith on your Home screen every morning, and on the Daily Islamic Content widget. Every hadith used in the app has been checked against its primary source and cited to an exact collection and number.
Quick answers
How do I know if a hadith is authentic?
Look for a precise reference to a recognised collection, such as Sahih al-Bukhari or Sahih Muslim with a hadith number, and its grading. Be careful with quotes shared online without a source.
What are the most authentic hadith collections?
Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim are considered the most authentic collections by Sunni scholars.
